On Monday a combined grading was held at Apollo Judo Club where players from both Apollo and Newent were tested for their grades.

The following were the results of the grading, well done to all who took part.

Rebecca Norris and Tarran Hasuk took part in the Gloucestershire Open which was held for the fifth time at Newent Leisure Centre.

5th Mon Tarran was fighting in the under 55kg category first and fought really well against 3 boys who were graded 10th, 11th and 13th Mon. He didn't manage to beat them though so was out of the medal fights.

Under 63kg Rebecca fought in a mixed group combining under 57kg, under 63 kg and over 63kg, she had some really close fights and came away with a Silver medal.

Well done to both of them.
